Talented Kenyan artist Kristoff has released a new jam dubbed ‘Ma Liar’ featuring Naiboi. ‘Ma Liar’ is an upbeat hip-hop jam in which Kristoff calls out people who like to lie, as Naiboi matches his energy to deliver a catchy verse on the same theme.
From face value, the jam may be received as fun and catchy but as you dive deeper you discover that Kristoff dives deep and calls out different societal vices that are affecting our society today including; fake friendships, poor financial habits, and behaviors affecting the sanctity of marriage.

The unique and creative instrumental for ‘Ma Liar’ was produced, mixed, and mastered by super-producer Hamado on the beat.
The jam which was released a few hours ago has been received well, with many fans quoting some of the lyrics and others requesting for Kristoff and Naiboi to upload the music video soon.
“Video ikam through sasa concept ya audio,” one fan requested, with another quoting some of the lyrics, “Unaniitisha fare unakosa kukam unadhani ni fair #hotbeats hamadoo.”

Meanwhile, Naiboi’s previous hit song ‘Pesa’ featuring DJ Shiti is still flying high two months after the music video dropped. ‘Pesa’ is an upbeat jam about money and its effects on relationships from a male perspective.
Changing his physical appearance to mimic Naiboi, DJ Shiti tries to understand love through the perspective of a promiscuous lover who equates money to love. Apart from love, ‘Pesa’ also touches on other important themes including depression, anxiety, and the effect that Covid-19 has had on Kenyan artists.
