Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Gambo has disclosed how his latest EP,  ‘New Era  EP’ came to fruition. 

Speaking to Rev Erskine on Y 107.9 FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, Gambo noted that he got the Ep’s idea during the country’s lockdown last year. The EP is clear proof of the artist’s eminent progress and hard work since getting into the music scene.

‘I am only a year old in the industry and I’ve already made so much progress which this EP proves’, he said. New Era EP’ houses 5 tracks and features Medikal, Strongman, Sefa, and Ayigbe Edem.

He further opened up that as much as it is not as easy in getting fellow artists to collaborate with, he has had fun and an amazing experience producing the records with the featured artists.

Elaborating on the first two tracks, Beautiful and Drip. Gambo shared that ‘Beautiful was inspired  by his own experience as he had gone through a heartbreak a couple of years ago.’Nobody expected me to be so emotional but that song has a story to it. I wrote it when I had my first heartbreak about three or four years ago.’

While ‘Drip’ ft Edem drastically occurred, "He just called me one time, and we went to the studio and did it", Gambo said.

Currently, Gambo is working on an album and is expected to be dropped this year. He has asked his fans to watch out for his new album while promising it will be lit.
