Efya is a proclaimed Queen of Soul and Afro-R&B genre. She has stood out as an amazing singer-songwriter, fusing both soulful and romance to her records to create a melodic tune. MzVee on the other hand is often referred to as the queen of afro-pop in the Ghana Music Scene. She also uses her music to advocate societal issues like poverty, and how netizens can elevate from it.

- Awards and Nominations

Efya is the 5 time best female Vocalist at Ghana Music Awards. She has been holding the title since 2011, winning the award consecutively till 2016. Apart from the Vocalist award, the Afro-RnB artist has bagged several other awards like the African Female Artiste of the year award at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, Most stylish Music Artiste of the Year in Glitz Style Awards, African Muzik Magazine Awards as the Best Female West Africa, City People Entertainment Awards as Female Musician of the Year, all in 2016.

Mzvee has had her portion of success with awards. She has scooped various awards both in Ghana and internationally. Ghana Music Awards, Unsung Artiste of the Year. Best Discovery at 4Syte Music Video Awards, Bass Awards for the Best Female Vocal Artist, and The Most Promising Act at Ghana Music Honors in 2014. The most outstanding awards of all were Best New International Act Africa at the BET Awards, Nigerian Entertainment Awards as the African Female Artist [Non- Nigerian] category, Best Female West Africa in AFRIMMA, MTV Africa Music Awards Best Female, and Best Female Artist Honour in Ghana Music Honour in 2016.

As vocalists in their way, both artists have an incredible music catalogue that reveals their best niche in the genres they are in.
Mzvee dropped ‘Re-vee-Lation’ in 2014,’Verified’ in 2015,’Daavee’ in 2017. She made a comeback with ‘Inveecible’ in 2020 after a  two-year music hiatus.

Efy was introduced to the Ghana music scene in 2009 when she dropped ‘Unveiled’  a collaborative project with Irene Logan, her rivalry from Charterhouse’s show of the Future television stars. After rebranding herself and moving on as a solo artist, Efya released ‘This Is Not The Album ‘ mixtape in 2013, a precursor of ‘Janesis album in 2015

Data from Efya’s YouTube channel which premiered on January 23th 2012 has 7,971,710 views. On the other hand, the Mzvee YouTube channel with more than 3,793,300 views was premiered in May 2019.


- Social Media Followers

Both artists have a massive number of followers on all their social media platforms. Mzvee has attained an over 3 million mark of followers on Instagram, while Efya comes quite close to 1.6 million. On Twitter, Efya has more than 1.6 million followers. According to Ghstudents.com, The queen of Souls has been ranked as the most followed female celebrity in Ghana. She is quite engaging with her followers on Twitter, calling them Gingams.  Mzvee on the other hand has  616k followers.
