Speaking during an interview with Y97.9FM’s Nana Quasi-Wusu on the Dryve of Your Lyfe show, Sefa said: “The first song I recorded was a reggae song. That was my early stages. I had never been in a studio. I wasn’t really confident about the song because I didn’t believe in myself”.

She went on to say that although she did not do a good job with her first song, it was no reason for her to give up as she kept working harder. Her hard work and persistence eventually made her discoverable by Black Avenue Muzik CEO D-Black, who later signed her.

She said that her first encounter with Dblack was a good one. “My first encounter with D-Black was amazing. Before I met him, I had already known that he was so much of a business person and he was interested in talents, but I didn't know he was that big, so when I met him, I was nervous." She shared.

Since Dblack signed her, Sefa has grown into a successful musician. She released her debut 12 songs album christened ‘Growth’ in 2020. Currently, her song ‘E choke’ featuring Mr Drew is receiving massive airplay in Ghana.
