Andy Muridzo, Chief Hwenje Gifted Musical Kits during State House Visit

Contemporary Zimbabwean artists Andy Muridzo and Chief Hwenje have been gifted musical kits by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The two upcoming artists were gifted the kits when they recently visited State House.

President Mnangagwa handed over the music kits on behalf Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Deputy Minister Tinoda Machakaire. Machakaire had made a promise to Muridzo and Hwenje and he fulfilled it through the President.

They received a public address system, mixers, drum set and guitars to take their musical overture farther.

An excited Muridzo described the event as an act of God’s grace. “When grace locates you....!! Ask and it will be given to you Seek & you will find; knock and the door will be opened. My Prayers were answered,” he said.

Muridzo and Hwenje have been working together to push Zimbabwe’s contemporary music to a new level. They have been christened the ambassadors of Zimbabwe’s culture due to their great energies in popularizing contemporary music in Zimbabwe and beyond.

Muridzo was in South Africa a week ago where he staged an electrifying performance. With the new kits, they say nothing holds then back from getting better and giving Zimbabwe a treat of a lifetime through music. Concerts are on plan already to put the kits in to good use.
