Fast-rising Ugandan musician Zex Bilangilangi has hit out critics who wrote him off following the release of his viral hit’ Ratata’ a year ago. When he released the jam, a section of Ugandans claimed that he’s a one hit wonder and wrote him off, but he’s proved them wrong.

Speaking during a recent interview, Zex noted that it is unfair to criticize someone before giving them time to prove themselves.

"People should stop hating and speak things they are not sure about. I have proved them wrong and I encourage them to join forces with me because I believe in unity. I bring closer every hater because I have no problem with anyone," he divulged.

Zex ventured into professional music in 2017 at a tender age of 17. He concentrated more on charity before his talent was discovered by veteran musician cum politician Bobi Wine.

Zex Bilangilangi joined Bobi Wine's Firebase crew and was named the ghetto prime minister by Bobi Wine. His music, however, wasn't so much of a big deal.

It was not until 2020 that he got his big breakthrough thanks to his viral hit ‘Ratata’.

The jam went viral in the country especially during the lockdown period where Ugandans enjoyed music from the comfort of their homes as clubs were shut down due to the pandemic.
