Fast-rising Ugandan artist Pia Pounds has expressed utter shock after Big Talent boss Eddy Kenzo recently said she was not signed to the label, despite working with her, and even putting out a statement in 2018, indicating that she had joined the franchise.

In 2018, Eddy Kenzo in a series of social media posts announced that Pia Pounds was a new signee under his label.

However, speaking during a recent interview, Kenzo claimed that Pia Pounds was not signed under her label, adding that she came to Big Talent through third parties, and he decided to offer her a place to nurture her craft.

Reacting to Kenzo’s remarks, Pia Pounds said: "All this time, I stopped myself from getting managers thinking it will disrupt my contract with Big Talent. While I was waiting for it to expire, Eddy Kenzo said this. Most of the stuff in the contract was unclear and I can't speak of something I'm not sure about. I thought they had signed me but then one minute I heard that I was never signed under the label," she said.

"I was surprised. I never had a clue on this but according to what I saw in that video, I have to fight for myself," She added.
