Jay Rox, Ice Queen and Slapdee Grace 2021 Africa Day Concert

Jay Rox, Cleo Ice Queen and Slapdee were part of renowned African artists who performed at the Africa Day Concert on May 25.

The three Zambian musicians joined a dozen other artistes from Kenya, Senegal, Benin, Cape Verde, South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt who graced the show in Cape Town, South Africa.

Award-winning actor Idriss Elba steered the concert to the end. Moments before the concert went live on MTV Base and YouTube, the three Zambian artists separately informed their fans to support them.

“So proud to be making a special guest appearance today on the #africadayconcert. It will hosted by @idriselba on @mtvbaseafrica and @youtube. Proud of my brothers @officialjayrox & @slapdee aswell as all the other great African stars Don’t miss it,” Ice Queen said.

Slapdee on his Instagram wrote: “Catch this concert hosted by @idriselba tomorrow on @mtvbaseafrica I’ll be making an appearance!”

Africa Day celebrates the milestones made in the continent and there is no better way of celebrating them than with music from African artistes.

Besides celebrating the best emerging artists in the continent, the Africa Day Concert 2021 also conducted a fundraiser to help families around the continent affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
