Pompi Releases New 'Samala' Video

Celebrated Zambian musician Pompi has released a new jam ‘Samala’ featuring Suffix.

Samala is a tantalizing gospel Hip-hop. The lyrics are a perfect literature reference of what rhyme is all about.

“Study word like I am doing it for college its work, look what it did to me day in and mentally making a legacy, not leaving a century, I chill in a bakery baking the bread and sharing it as it is meant to be take it away its yours, play in a major league…” the song’s lyrics read in part.

Though hip-hop, there is a traditional musical aspect which the song brought out by the use of traditional instruments.

Talking of the famous ‘Wakanda forever’ scenes in Black Panther, Pompi took this theme in the song’s video.

It features nature’s best; rivers, the jungle and vast arable land in Zambia. Over and above all, fans loved the inspiration behind the song and its message for better days and hope in life.

Geacinta Mumba said: “Putting Africa on the map...real hip hop zoona. Pompi my all-time favourite. Even if u post a cough ama download it.”

Ciuza Vwapu prophesied that this is the song that will be giving him a Grammy nomination. “We don't need to watch the video to know it's a great song, I know the Lord's taking you to the Grammys one day.”
