Fast-rising Kenyan gospel artiste Lydia Maina has dropped her latest single titled Usukani.

‘Usukani’ is about letting God take charge in all we do and is derived from Proverbs 3:5-6 which states that: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

According to Lydia, the song was inspired by the tough times we are going through as a result of the pandemic. She notes that ‘Usukani’ is a reminder that we should let God take charge of our lives.

"The song was inspired by the times we are in. We are facing very difficult times as a Nation due to the corona virus global pandemic. People have lost their loved ones, jobs and livelihood with no one to turn to. It is time we let God take control (Usukani) and save our Land," she said while describing the song.
