‘Middle Child’ is a dedication to J Cole for inspiring Mazimpaka Prime to get into music.

He recorded at Blaze Beats and Kina Beats produced the song. On his Instagram page, he wrote: “This record was done to honor Cole and the @rwandapatriots for representing our motherland during the #BAL tournament and most definitely the trophy will remain home. He hopes that the song will reach J Cole and send a statement on the dope levels of hip-hop in Rwanda which is why he did the song in English.

In most of his songs, Mazimpaka flaunts his Queens language prowess in a land where French is predominantly used. Rwanda is a former French colony, thus, French dominates.
