Renowned Ghanaian artist Martin King Arthur popularly known in the showbiz world as Kofi Kinaata, has said that the passion he has for football is the reason that pushed him to support talented football players in Takoradi.
Speaking in an interview with JoyNews, the ‘Susuka’ hitmaker said that he formed two teams intending to support young people who love football in Sekondi-Takoradi.
“We have a team and we will be competing in the juvenile level. We have under 13, 15 and third division. It all started with my football background and love for the game.”

He further added that he didn’t like seeing great talents going to waste
“Growing up in Efikuma, the only source of entertainment is playing football Aand that explains why we have lots of parks around.”
“I hate to see talents go to waste, like people playing without any push from nowhere. I motivate them by buying them football boots though they’re not signed, I tried to push them and later I decide to take it to the next level so I decided to make it a football team so I know they are under my care”. He said

Kofi Kinaata is well known for his unique lyricism, which has earned him the name ‘Fante Rap God’ in the highlife genre. He is currently working to promote his recently released song, 'Thy Grace, ' which has received massive airplay across the country.
