Nigerian music icon, D’banj has reiterated his faith in God and confirmed his status as a born again Christian.
The singer who attended a church service with his wife in Abuja last Sunday told the congregation that his faith in God has never been in doubt and that’s why he has never failed to give reverence to God in all of his albums. No matter what the general theme of the album might be, he always dedicates a song to God in all of his projects released so far.

D’banj says he refers to Jesus as the Koko and that is not a joke. In the video from the church service shared via popular online video platform YouTube, D’banj can be heard saying;
“…what I was trying to say is that I’m actually born again. And that is not a joke, when I said Jesus is the koko, I meant it and if anybody knows my story, is that for every one of my album, I always give honour to whom honour is due. So when I say from olorunmaje, to mobolowowon, I always know the source of where I stand today…”
