Trevor Dongo Tackles Toxic Relationships in New Song ‘Let Me Go’

Zimbabwean RnB crooner Trevor Dongo has released a new song dubbed ‘Let Me Go’ addressing toxicity in relationships.

In the new release, he opens up on a great love that was once the best thing that happened to him, but turned to be his worst nightmare.

He notes that despite his pleas and efforts to get things better and back on track, nothing much changed because the woman of his dreams turned oppressor remained intentionally stubborn.

Trevor brings this out in a wonderful video where a beautiful damsel rules the kingdom without caring about what he feels even for a minute. It gets to a point where the only resolve he is left with is committing suicide.

At the point of committing suicide, the woman dances around, a show of care-free which toxic relationships thrive on. The song has received positive feedback from fans lauding him for highlighting an issue that is throwing many into depression.

“The sad thing about a toxic relationship is that it gives you everything.....the best and the worst memories. It hurts to go and it hurts to stay too,” MimmyZw said.

“Toxic relationship, it is like you're dedicating this song to me. Let me goo,” Queen Elly wrote.

 “Whoever been in toxic relationship, l bet this song probably had you crying hence the voice hits you so hard.....You'd be like, this song was only made for me On fire bro,” Lincoln Isco added.
