Mr. Eazi Ready to Invest in Rwanda’s Creative Industry

Legendary Nigerian singer Mr. Eazi is eying the Rwandan entertainment industry by way of investment.
Mr.Eazi held a meeting with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Wednesday evening where they discussed on his interest in investing in the creative industry, e-commerce and gaming.

In a tweet, RDB said that “Earlier today, Nigerian artist, @mreazi visited RDB to explore business and investment opportunities in Rwanda. He’s particularly interested in the country’s creative, e-payments and gaming sectors.”

Lucky Philip who heads the Investment and Market at the Rwandese development agency said that the ‘Banku’ hit maker is eyeing the creative industry where entertainment falls .

“Mr Eazi is looking to invest in Rwanda. He is particularly interested in Rwanda’s creative industry, gaming sector and e-payments,” he said.
The creative industry in Rwanda is making its baby steps and there is a lot of room for growth. It is this growth that Mr.Eazi is interested in tapping.
In December 2020, Vasti Jackson, a renowned multi-grammy nominated singer during his month-long visit in Rwanda praised its creative industry. Jackson said that there is a huge opportunity in Rwanda entertainment industry.
He visited some of the best music schools in Rwanda and admitted that there was a lot of talent that could be nurtured by such institutions.
