Geosteady Explains Inspiration behind His Viral ‘Mama’ Hit

Celebrated Ugandan musician Geosteady has opened up on the inspiration behind his ‘Mama’ hit, stating that it was a dedication to his late mother who worked tirelessly to ensure he had a good life.

'Mama' is all about the love of a mother and how incomparable it is to anything in this world. The song was released in 2019, but made a comeback on Ugandan playlists during the recent Mother's Day celebrations.

"I wrote this song a year back to appreciate every mother in this world. I for one lost my lovely mother way back but one word she used to say was “How will you survive if you don't work' and this was after my tantrums when she always sent me for house work like washing utensils (my biggest problem), Fetching water, Cooking and moping," Geosteady said.

In a heartwarming post on his social media pages, Geosteady dedicated the song to all loving mothers and encouraged everyone that still has a mother to treasure them as the best gifts in their lives.

“Listen to me, I miss my mom but if you have one appreciate her every day, give her what you have, take her places trust me the world will be a better place for you. Love you all mothers hope this song makes you better," he posted.
