It is now over a year since many music activities were put on hold by the Coronavirus pandemic.
With the onset of the pandemic, concerts, music tours among other activities related to music were stopped, as various governments moved in to put in place measures that would help curb the spread of the virus.
Even though the pandemic is still ravaging globally, there are rays of hope that things are starting to go back to normal, especially in the music industry.
One such indication is a hint from Nigerian singer and songwriter Wizkid that he will soon be back to organizing tours.
In a tweet dated May 5, 2021, the singer rated as one of Africa's biggest artists said: “Starboy on the road soon!”
Even though he did not give more details of when he will be back on the road, the thought of attending an event with Wizkid live on stage is likely to bring joy to many of his music lovers.
And as a further confirmation that indeed Wizkid might soon be holding a kind of concert or tour, Starboy Entertainment official disk jockey – DJ Tunez indicated in a separate tweet that the ‘No Stress’ hitmaker will be performing in New York this year.
“WE BRINGING WIZKID TO NEW YORK THIS YEAR! WHO THE FUCK READY?!’ he posted on his official Twitter handle, replying to Wizkid’s tweet.
Wizkid dropped the ‘Made In Lagos’ album at the height of the pandemic in 2020 and many of his fans will be hoping to witness him perform live the songs in the LP.
The 14-track album is Wizkid’s fourth and it features guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tems, Tay Iwar, and Terri.
