Fast-rising artist Mudra D Viral has crowned veteran musician Jose Chameleone as the King of Ugandan music alongside his brothers Pallaso and Weasel Manizzo.

Chameleone; the eldest son in the Mayanja family has been in the music industry for the past 20 years. Considering his huge success and contribution to the industry, Mudra believes the ‘Baliwa’ hit maker deserves the crown of the best artist in the Pearl of Africa.

"We all celebrate Jose Chameleone countrywide because he is the best artist. The Mayanja family as a whole has done so much for the industry. They have changed the industry, and we can say they are some of those people who have evolved the game. I personally give them so much respect," Mudra said during an interview with Spark TV.

Chameleone was the first member of the Mayanja family to venture into music. He inspired his brothers to follow the same path and together they have made their family proud.

On his part, Weasel was part ‘Radio and Weasel’; one of the best music group in the country until his music partner Radio Mowzey unfortunately died in 2018.

Lastly, Pallaso started his music career on a low note but picked up over the years. Currently, he is one of the top trending artists in the country.

When speaking about the Ugandan music scene, you cannot fail to mention the Mayanja brothers as they have been instrumental in the growth of the industry.
