Fast-rising and youthful Nigerian singers Cheque and Fireboy DML have dropped the official music video for their recently released hit single ‘History’.
Visuals for ‘History’ premiered on April 22, 2021, jointly released under Cheque’s record label Penthauze and Fireboy DML’s distribution label Empire.

The video directed by award-winning TG Omori are top quality and tells the ‘History’ that is there between the two singers.
It starts with the duo at college, as Cheque steps up to protect Fireboy DML when other college mates try to bully him.
Scenes in the visuals beautifully alternate between the two in a basketball court telling the story of their ‘History’ to what they are talking about – giving it an interesting flow aside from the melodious blend of Afropop, rap, hip-hop and R&B.
History is basically an inspiring song in which Cheque declares that “Me and you we gat History When am gone, you gan miss me…” a phrase that is also the chorus for the track.
Fireboy DML on his part of the verse asks God to give him strength to ‘conquer my fall.”
The ‘History’ video drops at a time Cheque has announced that he will be releasing his debut single later this year.
Cheque also known as super boy Cheque gained prominence in 2020 with the hit single ‘Zoom’ which is taken off his debut EP ‘Razor’.
