Penthauze singer Cheque links up with YBNL superstar, Fireboy DML for a brand new single titled History.

Fans who have been expecting at least a new single from Cheque following his 2020 success were excited after a studio session from the making of the song was shared on social media. Anticipation for the new tune started building.

History is Cheque’s first single of 2021 and his first post Razor EP single which was released back in July 2020. Off the project, Cheque scored a hit record with Zoom, a song he went ahead to release a remix for months later with the assistance of Nigerian superstar singer and DMW boss, Davido and Award winning American rapper, Wale.

For History, Cheque called on the production expertise of Masterkraft who delivered a smooth instrumental powered by some suiting piano chords to match the theme of the record which is basically about winning despite against all odds.

Cheque says he has been grinding for a long time to focus on the negatives, the only way forward now is up. The duo take turns in passing this message of the song in a quite melodic and concise manner. This one would sure be playlisted a whole lot.

Cheque and Fireboy DML also have some history as they have been friends for a long time even before fame. He couldn’t have chosen a better artist to feature on this one than Fireboy DML.
