WCB boss Diamond Platnumz has expressed his frustration after missing out on a show in Burkina Faso. Over the weekend, Diamond was scheduled to host two Burkina Faso performances, but only managed to attend one.

No immediate explanation was given on the cancelation of the show. However, in a video posted on his socials, Diamond has revealed that the Covid-19 regulation forced him to postpone the show.

According to Diamond, their passports and travel documents were confiscated by immigration pending their Covid-19 test results. Diamond and his team were forced to take the test and by the time results came in, the time for the show was up.

“Tuko Burkina Faso mambo mengi sana...tumeshindwa kuenda show Kwa sababu passport zetu ziko immigration. Wamechelewa kutupea passport Kwa hivi tunaenda nyumbani Tanzania,”said Diamond.

The singer has begun the year by touring several countries. After Burkina Faso, Diamond is set to perform in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This comes after almost one year of inactivity as shows were canceled as part of Covid-19 regulations. Notably, the singer has been holding domestic shows in Tanzania since the country was declared Covid-19 free.
