King Illest Speaks on Working with Nexus, Kalandanya Record Labels

Zambian rapper King Illest says he is ready to consider working with Zambia’s leading recording labels should they express interest in working with him.

He recently said that he has been seeing great projects that Kalandanya Music Promotions and Nexus Music have been doing, adding that they are putting in a lot of work in pushing Zambian music out and beyond Zambian borders.

This, is what has gotten his attention and he is willing to work with either of the labels should they approach him and offer a good deal.

 The rapper prides in being the “finest” from Southern Province which is why he adopted an alias “King of the South”. In a past interview, Illest said that he was inspired to do music by where he comes from and he came up with the ‘Tonga Trap Lingo’ to stand out.

Years later, his hard work and creativity have paid off since he enjoys the status of a leading rapper in Tonga from Southern Zambia. King Illest has in the past said that though he is a successful rapper, he almost gave up his music career until 2017 when he released “Ndisweke”. From then, he released Cilotondwa which also did well.
