Eddy Kenzo, Levixone Win Big at Global Music Awards Africa

Celebrated Ugandan musicians Eddy Kenzo and Levixone have been crowned the Global Male Act of the Year and Global Gospel song of the Year respectively in the recently concluded Global Music Awards Africa held in Ghana.

To emerge the winner, Eddy Kenzo beat other top artistes likes Kuami Eugene, Shatta Wale, Diamond Platnumz, Davido, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Nasty C, Master KG, Vanessa Mdee, Nutty Neithan, Stonebwoy and Simi.

On his part, Levixone outshined Joe Praize – God Alone (Nigeria), Diana Hamilton – Wasem (Ghana), Minister Michael Mahendere – Revival (Zimbabwe), Empress Gifty – Jesus Over Do (Ghana) and Prosper Ohimana (Nigeria).

His collaboration with Rwanda's Beza Deborah dubbed 'Celebrate' won the accolade and Levixone couldn't be more proud.

Beza shared the news congratulating the 'Chikibombe' hit maker upon the big win.

"Congratulations Levixone for the big win. Let this award unlock many more wins this year. I'm so privileged to work with you on this recognizable project. You won, I won too and I'm so grateful for this," Beza shared.

According to the organizers, Global Music Awards is an event that seeks to recognize emerging and known artists in Africa.

This was the maiden edition and it was aimed at creating a positive impact in the music industry.
