John Magufuli: Bongo Music Fraternity Mourns Departed Tanzanian President

The bongo music fraternity has come together to mourn the death of President John Pombe Magufuli.

In a statement released by Vice-president Samia Suluhu, Magufuli died on Wednesday evening following a cardiac arrest.

Magufuli will be remembered for his contribution towards uniting the bongo music industry.

Following his untimely demise, several stars took to their socials to remember the leader.

On his part, Diamond Platnumz shared his disbelief following the death with a picture of Magufuli alongside a caption of “Dah! jamani “ Several hours later, Diamond shared a series of videos while in-studio alongside several bongo music stars in what is believed to be a recording session paying tribute to Magufuli.

“Eh Mungu Pumzika Salama Baba. The mysteries of our time here belong to God alone. RIP President John Pombe Magufuli. Prayers for the people of United Republic of Tanzania my home,” Vanessa Mdee posted.

Aallahu Akbar Yarabbiii, nimeumia nimeumia nimeumia.daaah,inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiuni,” posted Zuchu alongside photos of her first encounter with Magufuli.

“Amaaaan babaaaa jaman babaaaa jaman babaaaaa jamaaani. Rest in peace baba,” Nandy shared.

“R.I.P MR PRESIDENT,” posted Ommy Dimpoz.

“Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un R.I.P Mr President,” shared Maua Sama.

“Hakika Ya Sisi ni Wamwenyezi Mungu na Kwake Tutarejea. Tutakukumbuka Milele na Milele Kwa Mchango Wako Mkubwa Wa Maendeleo Ya Kuijenga Tanzania Yetu,” said Mbosso.

At his death Magufuli was aged 61 years old. He’s left behind a widow and five children
