Mejja Responds to Kid Kora’s Accusations against Him and Madtraxx

Renowned Kenyan artist Mejja has responded to accusations leveled against him and Madtraxx by their former band mate Kid Kora. Recently, Kid Kora posted a tirade of posts on his Instagram stories, accusing Mejja and Madtraxx of unfair distribution of income.

He uploaded a picture of Mejja, Madtraxx, and himself with the message, “Mafans wakiuliza ‘Mbona umekonda na wakona vitambi’ Ni ju chakula ni ya watu watatu na sahani ni mbili.”

Kora also added that he was not happy with doing songs that degraded women, adding that he had tried to plead with the group to take a new direction to no avail.

In an interview with Mseto East Africa radio show, Mejja expressed his shock over Kid Kora’s statement, but also said that he did not want to go back and forth with him because he understood his personality.

“Mi kwanza nilishtuka sana unacheki, ilinikuta off guard, lakini kitu naeza sema ni sitaki kumrudishia ju, ye ni that type of a person, anaeza take twende back and forth,” he said in part.

“Hii story yote mi nafikiri tu ni bitterness, kwa sababu between mimi na yeye na Madi, anajua ukweli iko wapi.Before hata Corona ikuje, ukienda uangalie, uzuri wa YouTube channel, ukiangalia unaweza ona mwaka na date, alikuwa mtu wa kwanza kufungua YouTube channel two years ago, so yaani the Kansoul ilikuwa ivunjike hiyo time,” he added.

He concluded by expressing respect to Kid Kora's family, citing that he did not want to be one of the people badmouthing him.

“Yeye ni mtu najua narespect mathake sana, narespect familia yake, na mathake ni msee amenikaribisha kwake poa, so siwezi kuwa among the people wanamuongelea vibaya,” Mejja divulged.
