Yaw Tog Defends Kumerica Music Drill

Yaw Tog, one of the fast rising Ghanaian artistes has boldly defended the intentions of Kumerica music drill, by saying that Kumerica does not aim at promoting violence among the youth. According to Yaw, Kumerica music seeks to encourage young people in their everyday struggle.
Speaking in an interview with GNA Entertainment, Yaw Tog born Torsten Owusu Gyimah said that the music genre will be taken to the next level by the current Kumerica musicians to ensure it gains an international recognition.
“We taking it to a different level and it is a worldwide thing, so the next generation would see how it all started.
“The Kumerica drill is like preaching about our lives and the daily hustle and it is not about promoting violence. Our drill is just like other artistes doing music but ours expresses the pain from the hustle and how we have overcome the numerous challenges to become successful and that is where we derive our joy,’’ he stated.
Meanwhile the 19 year old final year student of Opoku Ware Senior High School has recognized the support he has been accorded by his mentor Kwesi Arthur and said that he has always looked up to him.
