Bobby East Recalls When Mampi Removed his Verse from ‘Ubepelefye’ Hit Song

Bobby East is one of the big brands in the Zambian music industry. He is a hip hop star who has had his fair share of glorious moments in the industry.
Despite his coloured record not just as XYZ CEO but as an artist, he still remembers an ugly turn of events where he did a song with celebrated songstress, Mampi but his lyrics were expunged.

Not to hide his disappointment, Bobby East recalled this past incident saying “Did a song with Mampi, then she took out my verse.” Bobby said that he did not hold it against Mampi because he had not rehearsed well and he should have done it.
However, the song ‘Ubepelefye’ would go on to be released still featuring Bobby East and it did well. Premiering on August 4, 2020, ‘Ubepelefye’ has surpassed half a million views on YouTube.

‘Ubepelefye’ was a club banger of a kind. It rocked through 2020 when COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the country. It gave people something to enjoy while on lockdown.
Both Bobby East and Mampi did a great song, their voices and the beats are awesome and will surely get you dancing.

Fans hailed the song, some saying that they could feel Nicki Minaj’s vibe in the song. “Is it just me or Mampi has some Nicki Minaj vibe. This girl can change music genre in a second before you can realize,” Evelyn Lungu opined.
