February, which is the month of love, has just bid us goodbye. Nevertheless, the month has blessed us with amazing music which has left us entertained and happy.
This article reviews the top music releases in Kenya for the month of February.
Kolo by Nadia Ft Otile Brown
'Kolo’ is an Afro-Pop classic banger that celebrates the African culture through its original sound, guitar, and afro beats, with the lyrics honoring the Swahili language which is vastly spoken in Eastern Africa. The jam which was released three weeks ago is a fan favorite and already has over 1.6 million views on YouTube.

This Love ya Wahu and Nameless by Wahu and Nameless
Legendary Kenyan artists and celebrity couple Nameless and Wahu collaborated in one project which gave birth to two songs celebrating their love. ‘This Love ya Wahu’ was a song appreciating the beauty and joys of a relationship while ‘This Love ya Nameless’ was a jam about the hardships that relationships go through, and the hurt and pain one experiences as a result.
Ulimi Yangu by Mejja
‘Ulimi Yangu' is a jam based on a comical story of how Mejja's tongue has been putting him in trouble. The jam takes us back to the old Mejja who used to do some skits in his songs like ‘Landlord’ and ‘Jana Kuliendaje’.
Fashionista by Arrowbwoy
‘Fashionista’ is a jam that celebrates the African woman’s beauty and diverse fashion style through simple catchy lyrics laid on an upbeat track blended with melodic guitar lines.
The hit is doing well and already has over 109,000 views in a short amount of time.
Promise by Avril
‘Promise’ is a slow acoustic jam about promises between lovers. In this song, Avril opens up about how she thought she would never rely on a man until she met the right man for her. The visuals are also beautiful and we get to see Avril in a wedding dress walking down the aisle.
