Tanzanian RnB singer Juma Jux is now pushing for a remix with Canadian rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
This is after Stallion was recorded listening to Jux’s latest single, ‘Mapepe.’
On Monday, while celebrating her 26th birthday, Thee Stallion went on Instagram live, and in the background, the ‘Mapepe’ single was playing.
Following the move, Jux is now seizing the moment with an attempt to land a remix for the song with Stallion. Through his Instagram post, Jux recorded a video wishing the rapper a happy birthday while at the same time urging fans to help him reach out to the rapper.
“All my fans, please help me wish the beautiful @theestallion a Happy Birthday. Nataka Nione Comments 5,000. Ukiandika #Mapepe then tag @juma_jux @theestallion Tuachie remix ya Mapepe. Hii Jimbo liko wazi , Vipi tuchkue Jimbo,” Jux posted.
By press time, there was no comment from Thee Stallion’s team. However, it is unclear if the two musicians have established contact ahead of working on a possible remix.
The gesture by the rapper vibing to Jux music is a big a deal considering that penetration of bongo music in the American market is still low.
