Pallaso was born in Kawempe; a Kampala suburb to Mr. Gerald Mayanja and Mrs. Prossy Mayanja. He has six siblings, with two (Weasel Manizzo and Jose Chameleone) being actively involved in the music scene.

How did Pallaso start his music career?

Pallaso, just like his other brothers started doing music under Jose Chameleone's record label, Leone Island using Lizard as his stage name. He released his first single titled 'Mudigide' in 2003 which got him some airplay.

In 2006, Pallaso surprised many when he relocated to the Unites States, yet his music had picked up and was blossoming in the country. It was during this time that he rebranded from Lizard to Pallaso. In 2013, he collaborated with The Mess on 'Change'. It was in the same year that he teamed up with Radio and Weasel on 'Amaaso' which topped music charts, also winning him Best Artist in Diaspora during the HiPipo awards.

He came back to Uganda after eight years in the States and was signed under Jeff Kiiwa's Team No Sleep alongside Sheebah Karungi. In 2014, the pair teamed up on 'Mundongo' and 'Go Down Low'; songs that were massively welcomed by Ugandans, winning local awards. His ground breaking collaboration 'Twatoba' with Davido was released in 2015.

He followed it with songs like Tebakusobola, Ffe Tuliko, Mubambazanga among others. Pallaso made the decision to leave Team No Sleep in 2015, starting his own record label; Team Good Music.
