Diamond, Nandy to Headline Mexican Festival

Celebrated Tanzanian musicians Diamond Platnumz and Nandy are set to feature in this year’s Native Festival in Mexico.

The two high-flying bongo musicians will join other African acts like Burna Boy, King Promise, Fireboy DML, Roody Roodboy, Dexta Dape, Mr. Killa, Olatunji and Spice.

The organizers are set to announce more performers in the coming days.

The Native Festival is brand new music, art and culture festival that will place in Cancun, Mexico in September.

It will be held at the luxurious Moon Palace resort for four days. Anchored in music, Native Festival also highlights dance, visual arts, fashion, food and more to create a truly immersive experience.

In a post on her socials, Nandy expressed her excitement towards the festivals that seek to connect African and Caribbean musicians.

“Hello Fans around the World, I am Super excited to be part of @thenativefrst. This September in Cancun Mexico , this will be about the Music ,Art and Culture Experience ,Get ready @thenativefest is coming for the First time ever,African and Carribean together,” Nandy posted.

 It is no surprise that Nandy and Diamond have featured in the festival considering they are among the top African musicians.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, it is not clear if the event will be held virtually or in person.
