Rwandan musician Janvier Mugabukwali alias Dr Jiji has made a tremendous comeback to the music industry after a lengthy hiatus with a new song dubbed ‘Nipe Shibli’.

Dr Jiji’s musical prowess set him a table years ago in the RnB genre. Speaking to KT Press after the release of the new song, he explained that he had other personal commitments that kept him away from doing music.

However, he dismissed claims that he quit doing music as rumour has had it for years and amplified by his absence from the musical scene.

“I didn’t quit music as many people say, but rather I had some personal business I was working on and I had to pause a bit making music. This year I am ready to give my fans more music with super videos,” Dr Jiji said.

On his to-do list is move back to Rwanda and release more music. He currently resides in Kenya.

He has been working with Main Switch, a recording and production label owner by singer turned politician Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar.

“I am currently in Kenya but working on the plan to come back home with lots of music,” he added.

Of Dr Jiji’s great musical works is a collabo with Bruce Melodie and Ama GM both of which ruled the charts in 2013.
