Alyn Sano was born in Rwanda 26 years ago in a family of five siblings. She is the third born in the family that boasts of three girls and two boys.

How did Alyn Sano start her music career?

Alyn Sano thanks her local church for nurturing her talent in music. From a tender age, she was in the church choir. In 2011, she felt the urge to hone her skills and joined her school’s choir at Adventist de Gitwe. When she completed high school, she had a hard decision to make now that she was transitioning to university and needed bills paid. This is when she dropped the choir singing and started doing secular concerts. She went full throttle on secular gigs and by the end of 2015, Alyn Sano had good networks and could make money for her tuition fee.

She took a hospitality course at Akillah Institute for Women to study Hospitality Management. In 2016, she recorded her first solo jam titled ‘Witinda’ and it inspired her greatly. She went on to release another song in 2017 dubbed ‘Ntako bisa’. In 2020, her star shone brightly with the release of ‘Perimana’; a dope song which has received huge airplay in Rwanda. It was still in 2020 when she collaborate with Kenya’s hip hop/rap queen Femi One and they did ‘Kontorola’ Remix; a big tune in East Africa.
