He insinuated that Diamond has been surpassed by fellow musicians like Harmonize and Alikiba.

He stated that Harmonize should be respected as his solo projects are well received without relying on collaborations with top musicians.

His comments targeted Diamond, who is currently flying high with the ‘Waah’ collaboration featuring Congolese Lingala maestro Koffi Olomide.

He, however, alleged that it is a normal circumstance in music for artists to fade out and rely on collaborations to hit.

“Zama zake zishapita..kila kitu kinapita...zama zake saa hii ni za collabo...ni kawaida kwenye muziki...ni hali ya kawaida kimuziki, zama zinakuja na kuenda,” said Mwikaju.

At the same time, Mwikaju hailed Diamond for not copying international musicians in his creativity. He noted that the singer is taking notes from Alikiba, especially in his performances.

His sentiments are bound to stir controversy, considering that Diamond is regarded as the biggest bongo musician at the moment.
