Spice Diana is currently one of the best female artists in Uganda and the entire East African region. Born in Mpererwe, a Kampala suburb, Spice Diana was raised by a single mother, Nantale Beatrice.

According to Spice Diana, growing up, she never pictured herself being a musician. It was not until Form Five that she realised her dream, and had to first consult her mother for a go ahead before trying it out.

"I had that thought and I consulted her but she never liked the idea. This was because of the negativity that came with it. Many people always say that music is for spoiled people. But my mum is and has always been my best friend. We talked about it and she advised me on how to behave and she has always supported me since then," Spice Diana said in an interview.

According to the mum, she had no idea that the daughter could consider pursuing music as a career, adding that she was surprised when she finally came out to her with the intentions.

When she finally started pursuing her career, she was sidelined by their neighbours who argued that she’ll spoil their kids.

"I faced many challenges when my child started pursuing music. Many people hated me and refused their children from playing with mine, because they thought Spice Diana would spoil them. They said she will divert them from school and drag them to music. But I was able to stand, counsel and encourage her to succeed, and she did not disappoint me," Spice Diana's mum said.

In 2014, Spice Diana came into the limelight with the release of her first single 'Onsanula after linking up with Dr. Fizol who acted as her manager and producer. Her next big hit was 'Koona' ft. Pallaso in 2015.

After parting ways with Fizol, Spice Diana joined Emma Carlos' management and later Humble management owned by Jones before being signed by her current manager, Roger Lubega under Source Entertainment.

Roger has changed Spice Diana's musical journey and shaped her into the big artist she is right now. From pulling huge crowds during her concerts, releasing back to back songs, to bagging multiple awards in and outside Uganda, Spice Diana at her age is one to look out for.

Spice Diana recently took to social media to celebrate her success and she reminisced on how far she has come, also advising her fans to always choose positivity.

"...You can’t believe I was crying all day, this day that I shot my breakthrough song. Not because I wanted to, but because everything seemed impossible, everything wasn’t going my way. I thought I was the most unlucky girl in the world, being a teen in my high school escaping from school to do all I had to do. I didn’t know how things work, didn’t know if I was doing the right thing, didn’t know if in return I was making my single mother proud, didn’t know if I was going to regret my decisions and choices 5 years later," she said.
