Q-Chief Blasts Wasafi Crew for Using His Photo on Concert Poster without Consent

Legendary Tanzanian musician Q-Chief has blasted Diamond Platnumz and the entire WCB management over a Wasafi festival show controversy.

Q-Chief has accused WCB of illegally using his photo on one of the show's posters without prior notice.

In a detailed Instagram post, the musician stated that WCB used his photo in a bid to win over his fans and add credibility to their brand. 

He notes that there was no communication between him and WCB and his fans were left disappointed after he failed to show up. 

Through a post addressed to Diamond Platnumz, the singer hit out at the label accusing the management of exploitation and using his fans. 

“Habari watanzania na industry yote ya mziki kwa ujumla.i think I need to address this issue to @diamondplatnumz @hellenkazimoto @sallam_sk na uongozi mzima wa @wcb_wasafi @tigo_tanzania nimepokea simu nyingi sana Jana mpaka today kuwa mbona sikuonekana kwenye show.as you all know mziki mimi ndo unanilisha na kuendesha mimi na familia yangu na pia niko na watu nyuma yangu (management) ambao wameniona mtu wa Ajabu sana.kwani jina langu limeonekana kwenye poster ya #tumewashanatigo na nilikuwa kama one of the performer siku ya tarehe 30/Jan #uwanjawauhuru kitu ambacho sio kweli kwani sio mimi wala management ilizungumza na uongozi wa #wasafi kuhusu show hiyo,” said Q-Chief.

The singer added that he had not received any communication from the WCB team. 

“...nimejaribu kuwapigia lakini wanaleta sababu kwamba watu wamechoka kwasababu ya show.hivo basi management yangu na mimi tumetoa siku ya leo kuwa ya mwisho kupata maelezo juu ya utapeli huu kutumia jina langu kupata fans wangu na wao kujiongezea credibility. Naomba @hellenkazimoto @diamondplatnumz mu act haraka on this kwani tutakuja laumiana.sitaki matatizo na mtu napambana on my own naomba muwaeleze watanzania either video or mahandishi.alafu hatua nyingine zitafata.Mnyonge mnyongeni haki yake mpeni,” he added.
