A master’s degree holder in Environmental and Natural resource management studies, she doubles up as an artiste and a lecturer.

She attained her bachelor’s degree in Art at the University of Zambia - Geography major and History minor – and later pursued her master’s degree.

Even with her career in the walls of a lecture hall, she has become a revered RnB singer inspired by American RnB icon, Brandy.

Despite her successful music career, she still pushed on with her career but it was never easy. At some point, she announced that she would quit teaching.

“I think I just got to a point in my life where I needed to put things together and everybody thinks that I am well put, like I have everything put together but I don’t think you can ever have everything as you want it to be,”Kantu said with a grin during an interview with Hellen Zulu.

In 2020, she released a classic love song titled “Fragile Heart”. ‘Fragile Heart’ is a special dedication to men out there who are in the habit of playing around with women’s feelings at their pleasure.

However, Kantu pleads authoritatively that if you cannot love, the best thing to do will be leaving other than taking feelings and emotions for granted.
