Ghanaian musician Martin King Arthur popularly known by his stage name as Kofi Kinaata declares that he will only feature on songs that are of good value and have great impact on the society.
Kofi Kinaata holds his fans and listeners in high esteem and he does not intend to give them anything that will not be of value to their souls.
The songwriter revealed this in an interview with Happy 98.9FM’s DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Driver show after he was asked why he is selective in the kind of feature he did and his answered, “I respect my listeners and I just can’t record any kind of song for old folks and my parents to listen to. Some songs have no impact and I am not willing to do such a feature."
The Highlife artiste also added, “For some songs, even if you feature God, the song will not make an impact," He indicated that featuring on songs with no impact can tarnish one’s image to an extent and that is not something he is willing to risk.
Kofi went ahead and revealed that even A-list artistes sometimes come up with songs not because the song will make an impact but just because they have a hook. He finds this as a sad thing to do.
“I want to be on a song that can make an impact. If you can’t make a good song which makes an impact, I’ll not feature on it," he said.
