Details of Jah Prayzah, Winky D Concert Set for December 18

A concert by Zimbabwe’s dancehall king Winky D and celebrated Afropop sensation Jah Prayzah is still on.

According to organizers, all is set to go for event set to be held on December 18 at Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).

There were concerns that the concert was cancelled as happened to several others in the wake of a second bout of national lockdown due to surging numbers of COVID-19.

The Jah Prayzah, Winky D concert is being organized by Kayse Connect.

In a statement, Elton Kurima of Kayse Connect said that they have complied with all measures put in place by the government regarding the event.

He added that only a few of their fans will be allowed into the venue.

“We are only allowing a handful of fans into the venue, at most 100 people the rest will watch it online,” he said.

He added: “The ‘Best of both worlds’ is an online concert hence our fans should not be afraid.

Kurima was referencing to the new pay-per-view (PPV) model which has been introduced as a new payment model for concerts in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

The concert is expected to gain mass viewership as two of Zimbabwe’s most famed artistes who once beefed over music come together once more in the spirit of unity to entertain their fans.
