Diamond’s Waah Hit Featuring Koffi Olomide Sets New Record in Africa

Diamond Platnumz’s ‘Waah’ video featuring legendary Congolese artist Koffi Olomide has set a new African record after securing ten million views on YouTube in seven days.
‘Waah’ is the first video in Africa to achieve that fete. So far, ‘Waah’ video is trending in 22 countries across the world and it is at number 1 in 5 countries mostly from East Africa.

Taking to Instagram, Diamond appreciated his fans for watching the video.

“Thank you for 10 Million YouTube Viewers within 7 days on our WAAH! video, my beloved fans....thanks to @koffiolomide_officiel Producer NAZDA @lizerclassic @director_kenny @noelgiotz @moseiyobo @emma_plat @hbaajuni @dumyutamu @tonser66 and all wasafi dancers and everybody behind this project,” posted Diamond.
Meanwhile, the Wasafi founder last week hit another career milestone after he became the first African musician to have a video hit 2 million views in 13 hours.
The record was previously held by Nigeria’s Davido whose ‘Fem’ video managed to secure 1.8 million views in 22 hours.

Prior to its release, Diamond had set a record of hitting a million views in 13 hours thanks to his ‘Kanyaga’ hit and Tanasha Donna’s ‘Gere’ where he was featured.
The latest milestone is proof that Diamond enjoys massive following not only in Africa but also world over.
