2020 has been a great year for the bongo music industry, with musicians dropping new projects. At the same, several events have occurred defining the history of the industry.
Harmonize quits Wasafi
In early 2020, Harmonize finally left the Wasafi Classic label after buying his way out. The singer went ahead to form his record label; the Konde Music Worldwide. Despite earlier fears, the singer has been a success.
Harmonize Album
Once he formed his record label, Harmonize showed his intentions of establishing his name in bongo music history. He released the 17-track 'Afro East' album that featured top African acts like Burna Boy and Khaligraph Jones. The album was received well across Africa.

Zuchu introduction
In March, Zuchu was officially introduced to the world by the Wasafi label. In nine months, the singer has achieved massive success to become one of the bongo’s finest female musicians.
Rich Mavoko comeback
After months of silence and speculation, Rich Mavoko finally made a comeback in the bongo music scene. He put aside the controversies surrounding his exit from WCB and reminded fans of his talent. He is currently doing well with his Billionaire Kid record label.

Alikiba busy year
Since joining the music industry, Alikiba has always released at least two songs in a year. According to the singer, the strategy has always worked for him. However, in 2020, he has changed tact by dropping and featuring on at least four projects.
