Bahati Laments His Struggles Trying to Displace Diamond from Top Position on Music Charts

Kenyan singer Bahati has sarcastically lamented how she has unsuccessfully tried displacing Diamond from the top position on popular musical charts.
In an Instagram post reacting to a statement by WCB, Bahati claimed that Diamond was the main hurdle standing between him and the top position on the charts.

WCB had put out a post indicating that Diamond was ruling the Kenyan iTunes chart with his ‘Waah’ single featuring Kofi Olomide.

“Asanteni Kenya kwa kuifanya #waah kuwa wimbo namba moja kila kona kila digital platforms,” read the original post by WCB.

Since being released last week, the song has been trending in various countries after garnering over nine million YouTube views.
According to Bahati, he has tried all means to displace Diamond but he has not succeeded.
“Nimejaribu Njia Zote Kumtoa Simba No.1…Wacha Nijaribu Mbinu ya Mwisho,” said Bahati.
Bahati recently released the ‘Mtaachana tu’ single featuring his wife, Diana Marua. Bahati’s song is doing equally well and had over 400,000 views in under one day.

Meanwhile, it is no surprise that Diamond is trending on Kenyan charts. The singer, alongside his WCB musicians, are known to have a massive following in Kenya In May this year, it emerged that most of Diamond’s YouTube views emanated from Kenyan fans.
This is after the singer surpassed the one billion views mark on YouTube. Similarly, other WCB musicians are known to draw most of their views from the Kenyan audience.
