Zambian artiste Drimz has had a lot of talk going on in Zambia since the release of ‘Ba Mwankole’ five months ago.

The song has reportedly been said to have a political undertone especially now that Zambia is preparing to head to the national polls in 2021.

However, Drimz in a one-on-one interview with studio Ken said that the song was an inspiration from God.

Drimz said that Ba Mwankole (crow) Biblically was a bird that was sent by Noah when he built the ark to check how high the water level is outside but it ended up flying away never to return with feedback.

In real life, he said, this applies to friends who will stick by you when life is hard on them but will disappear as soon as things get better or easy for them.

“I got my inspiration from the bible, I am a Christian,” he said.

Drimz opined that though the song has been linked to 2021 elections, it was a shocker because he didn’t expect that.

“To be honest, I didn’t really think this song was going to have a connection with next year’s election. Most of the songs famous songs you hear from Drimz, I just wake up a tune, I just wake up with a tune ringing in my head and I know that is God sending out a message..,” he said.

He adds that the song talks not about politics, therefore, people linking the song to politics is misguided.
