The affinity for Rhumba music in Zimbabwe is not a forced thing; it exists by all means.

This time around, Diamond’s new-era Rhumba hit ‘Waah’ featuring Koffi Olomide has exited Zimbabweans as it honours one of their own; Zodwa Mkandla.

Zodwa is a big name in Shonaland. She is the ex-wife to the later billionaire businessman and celebrity Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure.

It is for this reasons besides having the great voices on the song that Zimbabweans are likely to take ‘Waah’ as the new wedding anthem.

Rhumba and Zimbabwean weddings are a thing and they always go down very well.
