Eezzy Wins Covid Breakthrough Act at 2020 Starqt Awards

During the lockdown, fast-rising Ugandan artist Eezzy blessed music lovers with a viral hit titled 'Tumbiza Sound' that got people through the hard times of the quarantine.

‘Tumbiza Sound’ is one of the songs that was played most during the lock down period. In the song, Eezzy vows to party and not be bothered by the coronavirus.

The jam earned the youngster a nomination in the seventh edition of the South African-based StarQT Awards.

During the award gala, Eezzy outshined Mr. Frost (Interview Guru), comedian Publicity Nateete (Anytime Now) and fast-rising female rapper Stone Age Uganda to emerge the Covid break through act.

Shortly after receiving the news, the dancehall star posted up on his social media accounts, thanking his fans for supporting him.

"Woke up to this blessing. Thank you so much StarQT awards, Stella Starqt and everyone who voted for me. I'm truly humbled," he posted.

The prestigious awards took place on the 28th of November in South Africa.

This year, the STARQT awards were honoring persons who stood out during the lockdown in various sectors including; lifestyle, entertainment, unsung heroes, business, community, and sports.
