Recho Rey Explains Why She’s Been Slow in Releasing New Music

Ugandan rapper Recho Rey made news this year in July after she announced on her social media pages that she had parted ways with her manager Arnold Sempijja aka Apple Producer after three years of working together. H

Her song titled 'Respect' was the last single under One Ticket Management and since then, she has been quiet, not releasing any new music and fans have been wondering why.

Speaking during a recent interview, Recho Rey divulged that she slowed down in releasing new music as she was waiting to sign with a new management team.

"When Apple left, I didn't get new management automatically. The most part of the year, I didn't release any song until now when I got a management that helped me with the shooting of my new song," she said.

Recho Rey is now signed under JR Management and 'Seeka' is her first single her under her new management.

Regarding claims that she was romantically involved with Apple Producer, Recho Rey refuted the reports noting that their difference was work related.

"There is a common norm in the industry that there is no way a musician can work well with their manager without being romantically involved. This is not right with every artist, we were strictly professional," she said.
