This past week, Kenyan artists have been releasing hot jams for their fans. The genres range from Gospel, Swahili RnB to popular music in the country. This article dives in to review jams that have been trending on YouTube throughout the week.
Vice Versa - Size 8 Reborn and Rose Muhando
‘Vice Versa’ is a hit sung by two powerful gospel artists, thanking God for turning all their misfortunes around. The collaboration has great chemistry with both ladies showcasing strong dance movies and taking us to the ‘Utamu wa Yesu’ by Rose Muhando era. Their chemistry worked so well, and as a result ‘Vice Versa’ shot at number one on YouTube trends in just a day with over 341,000 views.
Jamila - Otile Brown ft Reekado Banks
‘Jamila’ is a love song full of praise sung by both artists. Otile Brown delivers the lyrics in Swahili and Reekado harmoniously joins in English. ‘Jamila’ comes barely two weeks after Otile Brown dropped his hit song ‘Regina’ featuring Tanzanian star Juma Jux.
Nye - Willy Paul ft Mejja
‘Nye’ is a jam full of sarcasm directed towards a play girl. The two artists remind her that even their mothers don’t love her. As expected from these two established artists, they show up and show out, with sensual visuals from a gorgeous video vixen and harmonious lyrics.
Ukimwona- H_art The Band
‘Ukimwona’ is an upbeat Afro-track with heavy acoustics. The hit is a letter to an ex, confessing to them that you messed up and miss the good moments you shared. The person delivering the letter is later requested to tell her: “No matter what happened between the two of them, the guy still loves her.”

Regina- Otile Brown ft Juma Jux
‘Regina’ is a love song sung melodiously by both artists, praising theIR lover with beautiful rhyming lyrics. The jam which was released two weeks ago, has been trending since its premiere and currently has over 1.3 million views on YouTube.
