Political Campaigns will Spread Covid Faster than Music Concerts, Pallaso tells Government

Over the past few weeks, Team Good Music boss Pallaso has been on the forefront of Ugandan musicians pleading with the government to re-open bars and allows artists back on stage.

Uganda President Yoweri Museveni closed down the bars, concerts and most public gatherings in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.

However, seven months later, Pallaso feels it is high time the government considered artists earning a living from the arts industry.

In a post on his social media handles, Pallaso urged to set Ugandan musician free branding himself as selfish.

Elections are fast approaching and we have witnessed a number of Ugandans converge around their political candidates who have been busy scouting for votes without adhering to the set guidelines to curb the virus.

Pallaso feels these political rallies and campaigns will spread the corona virus faster than any bar or concert will.

"Let's stop being so selfish. These political rallies and campaigns will spread the corona virus to all ages faster than any bar or concert will. Please set us free it’s about all of us," Pallaso tweeted.

Over the past week, Ugandan authorities have raided a number of bars in the night arresting party lovers violating curfew hours.
