Zuchu Drops New Song ‘Shangilia’

Fast-rising Tanzanian musician Zuchu has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Shangilia’.
‘Shangilia’ is a praise song hailing the re-election of Zanzibar President Dr Hussein Mwinyi.
Recently Tanzania had their general election which saw the re-election of the incumbent President John Magufuli for the mainland Tanzania, while Mwinyi was re-elected for Zanzibar.
In ‘Shangilia’, Zuchu calls on Tanzanians to congratulate Dr. Mwinyi for his re-election.
"Kibe Kibe Kibe, ni ushindi mwingine, Kibe kutoka CCM chama sio chama kingine, Kibe Kibe Kibe ameshinda mwengine.... Wazanzibari shangilia shangilia , Husseini Mwinyi Kashachaguliwa..." the song’s lyrics read in part.
In the new release, she hails Dr. Mwinyi for being re-elected in fair elections and how he will be the leader that will keep spearheading the development of Zanzibar.
The beat to this tune has a beautiful vibe making it easy to dance to. The song has since been released on YouTube and is fast gaining traction with over 10,000 views in a couple of hours.
The audio was produced by Wasafi's super producer Laizer Classic. Later in the day, Zuchu is expected to perform at the Amani Stadium in Zanzibar for the inauguration ceremony of President Hussein Mwinyi for his new term of office 2020- 2025.
