Bongo music star Diamond Platnumz has expressed his views on rifts within the bongo music industry.

Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, Diamond stated that beefs in the bongo music scene is necessary for the industry's growth.

His comments came following years of an alleged beef with Alikiba over who is the king of bongo music.

According to Diamond, rifts are common provided that the involved parties do not take it personally and involve families.

The singer noted that musicians would relax and fail to drop good music without rifts in the industry.

Of course watu wataingiza maneno yao lakini bora mjue target yenyu,” said Diamond.

He was speaking barely two months after President John Maguli urged musicians to unite as they are young people.

Recently, Alikiba dropped his ‘Mediocre’ single believed to have been throwing shots at Diamond and Harmonize. Several years back, Babu Tale, one of Diamond's manager, revealed they faked a beef with Alikiba to sell records.
